What it means to strive…
We’re fortunate to live in a time where wellness truly matters. We've come a long way in understanding what it means to be well—not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. With so much information at our fingertips and AI tools ready to answer any question, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by all the ways we could be improving ourselves.
The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to wellness. There are countless paths—and we get to choose the ones that feel right for us. What a gift! We get to decide what we tune into, what we give our attention to and how we implement it in our lives.
Personally, I believe in forward momentum. That doesn’t always look like big, dramatic change. In fact, what forward movement looks like will shift depending on the season of life you’re in. Sometimes it’s a bold leap. Other times, it’s the decision to just keep going. Most of the time it looks like small shifts over time like laying bricks in a foundation.
To strive means to grow. To reach. To keep moving forward—even when it’s hard. And let’s be honest: it is hard. Most of us just want to find a place of comfort and stay there. But personal growth often asks us to live in the space of being comfortably uncomfortable. That’s where the real transformation happens.
The work, then, is in learning how to keep striving—how to keep growing—while accepting that there is no final destination. And maybe that’s the whole point. Wellness isn’t a finish line; it’s a lifelong journey of showing up for yourself, again and again.
