You can contact me directly via email swhite@strivewithsusan.com to request an appointment or fill out a contact form on this site. I will respond within 24 hours. I do offer a waiting list and can also help find another therapist if needed.

Where are you located?

My office is in Franklinton on the revitalized N. Main Street above Curtsy’s deli. Franklinton is easily accessible to Wake Forest, Youngsville, Rolesville and surrounding areas. Virtual appointments are offered by request.

Can I use insurance?

I am an in network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna. I can help you determine your benefits and your copay. I can bill for any insurance as an Out of Network provider. In this case, you pay my rate of $150 each session and your insurance will reimburse you for any covered amount.

How does therapy work?

There’s no magic involved, just a thoughtful process. The first step is for me to truly get to know you—your unique story, the challenges you're facing, and how your life has shaped who you are today. In our sessions, I’ll walk alongside you, creating a space where you can explore what’s happening in your life. Together, we’ll uncover patterns and habits that may be impacting you, and I’ll support you in finding personalized solutions that make sense for your journey. My goal is to empower you to create meaningful change, at a pace that feels right for you.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful to anyone who feels that they need support or help making change. People that are striving for change likely never feel that they arrive at their goal because once they do a new goal develops. This is healthy living!

How long does therapy take?

Most people come to therapy ready for change! That readiness is an important ingredient in the timeline! It will take a few sessions for me to get to know you but we will get to work on your goals very quickly. Many clients report some initial relief within the first few sessions. Change happens over time. Remember, we don’t plant seeds and uproot them checking for growth- we trust the process! Typically therapy includes an assessment period, a change period when goals are actively being worked on and a maintenance phase.

How often will I be seen?

I usually request that clients attend 3 consecutive weekly sessions in the beginning. After that therapy will either continue weekly or bi-weekly. Oftentimes, clients reach a "maintenance” phase in their counseling when sessions can be monthly.
